• Real-Time Weather: To provide accurate meteorological forecasts, the App requires access to your device's location. This data is sent securely to our weather data providers (e.g., Apple Weather) strictly to retrieve your local forecast.
• No Location Tracking: We do not store your location history on any external servers, nor do we sell your location data to third-party marketers.

Local AI & Synthesis Data

• On-Device Processing: The App uses local, on-device AI models (such as our heuristic and synthesis engines) to generate atmospheric insights and protocols. Your weather context is processed 100% on your device.
• No External AI Servers: Your data is never sent to external AI servers (like OpenAI or Anthropic) for generation.

Information Stored Locally

• Journal Entries: Any notes, reflections, or insights you save in the App's Journal are stored securely and strictly on your local device.
• App Settings: Your selected themes, sound preferences, and unit settings are stored locally.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide real-time weather forecasts, daily high/lows, and 10-day outlooks.
• Customize the App's atmospheric backgrounds, themes, and ambient audio based on your current weather.
• Generate mythic insights and atmospheric protocols via on-device AI.

Data Storage and Security

100% Local Storage

• All sensitive personal data, including your saved Journal entries, is stored within the App's private sandbox on your device.
• This data is NOT transmitted to any cloud service or external server maintained by us.

Security Measures

• We rely on Apple's standard device encryption to protect your local App data.
• We do not collect or store any identifying personal information (names, emails, addresses) within the regular app workflow.

Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information or location data to third parties. Your location is only shared transparently with standard weather API providers to fetch your forecast.

Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to:

• Access & Delete: Review and delete your Journal entries at any time directly within the App.
• Permission Control: Revoke Location access at any time through your iOS Settings. (Note: The App requires location or a manually entered city to function).

Children's Privacy

Dark: Folklore Weather contains horror and mature folklore themes and is designed for audiences 12 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and posting the new policy within the App or on our website.

Data Retention

• Local Data: Remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
